FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Atlantic Sun Conference and Florida Gulf Coast University women's basketball have jointly announced the 2026-27 conference slate. The quest for the program's 16th ASUN regular season championship starts January 9, 2027.
For the full conference schedule, visit the official FGCU women's basketball schedule page.
"Conference play will have a new look this season following realignment, but one thing hasn't changed, every game matters. With several familiar opponents on the schedule, fans can expect competitive matchups and great rivalries throughout the season. We're also excited to host multiple doubleheaders, giving the Southwest Florida community the opportunity to watch both the FGCU women's and men's basketball teams compete on the same day. It's a great chance to show Eagle spirit, create an incredible home court atmosphere and make Alico Arena the place to be for winter entertainment."
The ASUN conference schedule consists of a 14-game slate, which includes seven home and seven road contests. FGCU opens conference play with three straight games at Alico Arena, first hosting Stetson (Jan. 9), then Queens (Jan. 14) and West Florida (Jan. 16). The matchup with West Florida will mark the first-ever meeting between the two programs at the Division I level.
FGCU then embarks on a four-game road stretch starting Jan. 21 at Bellarmine. The Eagles are also set to play Lipscomb, Jacksonville and North Florida all on the road during the span before returning home to open the month of February.
The Green and Blue are scheduled for six conference games in February, three at home and three away. FGCU begins the month at home by welcoming Lipscomb (Feb. 4) and Bellarmine (Feb. 6) for a pair of rematches at Alico Arena.
After road games at West Florida and Queens, head coach Raina Harmon and the Eagles close out their road slate with a Feb. 20 trip to Stetson. FGCU will then host in-state rivals North Florida and Jacksonville to close out the regular season, with the finale set for Saturday, February 27, 2027, against the Dolphins.
The First Round of the ASUN Tournament, held in Jacksonville, Florida, begins Thursday, March 4, followed by the Quarterfinals on Friday, March 5, and the Semifinals on Saturday, March 6. The Championship is set for Monday, March 8, 2027, at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.
Last season, FGCU's historic run atop the ASUN came to an end in Jacksonville. The Eagles opened tournament play with a dominant 94-28 win over Bellarmine in the First Round before falling 70-63 to Stetson in the Quarterfinals, closing the book on a remarkable stretch of consecutive regular-season and tournament crowns.
Coach Harmon aims to get the program back on top in her second season at the helm. The Eagles return seven players from last year's roster and welcomed in six new additions for the 2026-27 season.
