FGCU Young Alumni To Receive Discounted @FGCU_MBB And @FGCU_WBB Tickets

FORT MYERS, Fla. – As the number of FGCU graduates in Southwest Florida grows, Department of Athletics officials are proud to announce an FGCU Young Alumni discount for 2018-19 men's and women's basketball season tickets.

Young alumni – those who have graduated from FGCU within the past five years – can save between 30-70 percent off Priority Level 4 and 5 sections, in addition to receiving a discounted Eagles Club membership, which is needed for select premier seats inside Alico Arena.

Those interested in taking advantage of this offer are asked to click here or visit FGCUAthletics.com/YoungAlumni to complete a form. Following that, an FGCU Ticket Office representative will be in contact to set up an account. For more information, call 239-590-7145, email tickets@fgcu.edu or visit the Alico Arena Ticket Office Monday-Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Combined, the FGCU men's and women's basketball teams have claimed an incredible 19 ASUN tournament or regular-season championships in only 11 seasons of Division-I play. The women have played in either the WNIT or NCAA Tournament in each D-I year (11 consecutive), while the men have made six-straight postseason appearances. Combined, the two programs – in only seven years of D-I postseason eligibility – have won five NCAA Tournament games.

"We love the atmosphere of the Dirty Bird section at Alico on game days, and we want that to continue after our young alumni graduate," said head basketball coaches Karl Smesko and Michael Fly. "We enjoy having our young alumni at The Nest to watch us perform and keep the crowd loud. We need them to keep coming to help our fan culture and alumni group grow."
