ASUN Men’s Golf Championship Update: Final Round Scheduled For Tuesday

BRASELTON, Ga. – Rain washed out the entire 2nd round of action Monday at the ASUN Men's Golf Championship at The Legends Course at Chateau Elan, prompting officials to shorten the tournament from 54 to 36 holes, with the final round scheduled for Tuesday.

FGCU's five-man lineup will all tee off the 1st hole in eight-minute increments, beginning at 12:20 p.m. Competitors will be playing lift, clean and place out of the fairway, with one club of relief available, and there have been adjustments made to the yardages and pars of a couple holes.

Typically a par-5, 566-yard hole, the 10th has been shortened to 148 yards and will play as a par 3. The par-4 18th has also had to be shortened from 432 to 395 yards. The changes turn the usual par-72, 7,032-yard layout into a par-70, 6,577-yard track.

The Eagles are in 6th place after an opening-round 307 on Sunday, and are only five shots back of 4th-place Jacksonville. North Florida – which is one of four teams in the field in the top 70 of the nation at #26 – leads the pack following a 3-under 285, while #69 Lipscomb is just one stroke behind after a 2-under 286. Complete FGCU and overall team standings are at the end of this release.
