@FGCU_WSwim Hosts FIU on Senior Day

The Eagles look to end their dual schedule on a high-note as CCSA's approach.

FORT MYERS, Fla. – A week after earning its sixth dual victory of the season, the FGCU swimming and diving teams closes out the dual season Saturday against FIU. The final dual meet and final home meet of the season is set to begin at 12 p.m. and the Eagles will honor the five members who will be swimming in front of their home crowd for the final time.

"It's a special day," said head coach Dave Rollins. "We get to honor our seniors and compete with a very strong FIU team. Being able to finish out our dual meet season, at home, in front of our incredible fans and supporters is the perfect way to set up a special day. We hope everyone can come and support us as we get ready for CCSA's."

Hannah Soutar (Edinburgh, Scotland/Broughton HS), Madeleine Clarke (Treasure Island, Fla./Northside HS), Sommer Harris (Richmond, Va./St. Catherine's School), Christina Herfurth (Greenacres, Fla./John I. Leonard HS), and Yee Ching Wong (Hong Kong, China/Diocesan Girls' School) will be honored prior to the meet for their accomplishments during their careers.

This season's senior class has the opportunity to claim their fourth-straight CCSA crown in three weeks' time and the program's ninth title in ten seasons.

With last season's dramatic come-from-behind victory over the Panthers, FGCU is 10-1 against FIU all-time. FGCU's only defeat was during the 2014-15 season.
