LAST TIME OUT
The Green and Blue brought their winning streak to four matches thanks to victories over Kent State and Liberty. The Eagles were tasked with MAC Champions Kent State and back-to-back Big South title-holders Liberty.
FGCU defeated Kent State 2-0 to open the weekend, using goals from
Marjorie Boilesen (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Porto Seguro/West Florida) and
Lauren Greene (Lakeland, Fla./George Jenkins HS). Boilesen opened the scoring in the 21st minute on a tremendous header. With the match winding down, FGCU secured the win with Greene's first goal of the season.
The Eagles then completed the weekend with a 3-2, dramatic weekend over the Lady Flames of Liberty. Boilesen made it four goals in three games, netting a world-class free kick that won ASUN Goal of the Week. Minutes later,
Holly Fritz (Cape Coral, Fla./Mariner HS/Florida State) scored the first of her two goals in the match with a header in the 25th minute to put FGCU in front 2-0.
After Liberty scored twice to level the match, the Green and Blue looked to Fritz again to put them in front for good in the 80th minute.
MAKE IT THREE
Fritz made it three consecutive Eagles to win a weekly ASUN award when the junior claimed ASUN Player of the Week Tuesday. Fritz scored twice and added an assist in FGCU's two victories.
The Cape Coral native joins Boilesen and
Lindsey Patton (Jacksonville, Fla./Oakleaf HS) as previous winners of weekly awards.

THE SUN DEVILS
Arizona State enters the weekend 1-2-1 with a victory over San Diego State. The Sun Devils tested the then #24 UCF Knights, but a late comeback fell short 2-1. Four Sun Devils have scored this season with Jemma Purfield and Olive Jones also tallying an assist.
