FORT MYERS, Fla. – Winners of six-straight ASUN Conference regular season titles, the FGCU women's soccer team begins its quest for title number seven Friday with the beginning of conference action. The Eagles face in-state rivals Stetson Friday night at the FGCU Soccer Complex before wrapping up their non-conference slate, meeting three-time Northeast Conference champions Fairleigh Dickinson Sunday at 1 p.m.

Friday's conference-opener, slated to begin at 7 p.m., is a Blueout and those in attendance will receive a #StompStetson rally towel. In addition, the match is also Hat Night, featuring a contest for the craziest hat. There is also a Spirit Cup and Housing Challenge for students.

Sunday's non-conference finale is Faculty and Staff Day, honoring FGCU's faculty and staff members.

Tickets for individual matches remain at $7 for adults and $5 for youth and military. An All Sports Pass is again available at $100, which gives fans admission to all ticketed FGCU home regular season events, excluding men's and women's basketball. Group rates are also available for matches. For more information, please call the FGCU Ticket Office at 239-590-7145. Tickets can also be purchased at FGCUTickets.com.

For fans who cannot attend the match both matches will be streamed on ASUN.tv and live stats are available through FGCUathletics.com.

LAST TIME OUT
FGCU won consecutive matches for the first time this season with wins over Liberty and St. Bonaventure to run its record to 5-4 on the year. The Eagles tallied a 1-0 Friday road victory thanks to a late Tabby Tindell (Ocala, Fla./Trinity Catholic HS) goal in Lynchburg, Va. Tindell followed with an early goal Sunday opposite St. Bonaventure and the Eagles tacked on another, Megan Young's (White Lake, Mich./Walled Lake Northern HS) first career goal, for the 2-0 final.

Melissa Weck (Yorba Linda, Calif./Esperanza HS) notched seven saves over the weekend for her fourth and fifth clean sheets of the season. She is now atop the ASUN and eighth nationally with her five shutouts.

Tindell added two game-winning goals, putting the senior fourth in the NCAA in that category.

ASUN SUPREMACY
What FGCU has done during conference play places the Eagles among some of the more historic runs in NCAA history. Since 2010, FGCU has climbed to the top of the regular season standings, bringing a streak of six-straight conference titles into 2016, unofficially the fourth-longest streak in NCAA history and the longest such active streak in Division I.

Perhaps even more impressive is FGCU's form over recent seasons. The Eagles are 24-0-1 in the last 25 regular season home conference matches, the third longest active streak in NCAA. FGCU has not lost a regular season home match in ASUN play since 2009.

Coinciding with FGCU's impressive home record is its overall record. Heading into the 2016 season, FGCU is unbeaten in 26-straight matches against conference foes in all competitions, the longest active streak in NCAA Division I. FGCU's last loss to any conference foe came Oct. 5, 2012, a 2-0 defeat at UNF.

SCOUTING THE HATTERS
Stetson enters Friday's ASUN opener 3-4-2 but carrying momentum, boasting not only the conference's Player and Defensive Player of the Week, but also the NSCAA National Player of the Week. Forward Sarah Collins scored three goals and added two assists for two Stetson wins last weekend to earn both conference and national accolades. Collins now has seven goals this season to lead the ASUN and is helped along by Adrianna Suarez, who has tallied two goals and two assists. Six Hatters have found the back of the net this season.

Emily Plotz, the reigning ASUN Defensive Player of the Week, earned the last two starts and brings a 2-0-1 record to Fort Myers with a 0.31 goals against average. Kahri Smith has played in six matches, posting a 1.75 goals against average for a 1-4-1 record.

Stetson took the first ever meeting between the two teams back in 2007. Since the 3-2 loss, the Eagles have won nine-straight while allowing only three goals to Hatters in that span. Tindell has had the most success against the Hatters, posting two hat tricks (2013, 2015) and the lone goal in 2014. The Green and Blue most recently defeated the Hatters in the 2015 ASUN Championships, a 5-0 win in the semifinals.

SCOUTING THE KNIGHTS
Coming off of a 16-6 season, Fairleigh Dickinson has struggled to a 1-7 start this season. Elma Kolenovic has scored four goals with two assists on the year to lead the Knights. Jessi Reinhardt has added two goals and two assists.

Amanda Fitzgerald has started every match in goal this season for the Knights. Fitzgerald has faced 128 shot, 30 more than Weck.

This will be the first match between FGCU and FDU.

#TINDELLTRACKER
Already atop the FGCU record books in goals scored (58) and points (140), Tindell now has her sights set on FGCU's assists record and multiple ASUN records as well. The senior forward has six goals and two assists already in 2016 and is now four assists away from tying FGCU's assists record of 28, currently held by 2013 graduate Ashley Ciesielczyk.

Should Tindell score three more goals, the Ocala-native will be tied atop the ASUN record book with 61 career goals. Should she add another goal to break the record or tally two more assists, Tindell will share the title of the ASUN's all-time points leader. Centenary's Shelley Marusak (1993-1995) is currently the all-time leading goal scorer in ASUN history while Jacksonville's Marit Foss (1997-2000) headlines the ASUN's points category.

UP NEXT
The Eagles wrap up the current five-match homestand with two conference matches. First, FGCU faces USC Upstate Friday at 7 p.m. before wrapping up the weekend with a 1 p.m. contest Sunday against NJIT.

COACH JIM BLANKENSHIP
A veteran of over two decades in collegiate coaching, head coach Jim Blankenship, who was named the ASUN Coach of the Year in 2012, 2013, 2014 and now 2015, has built FGCU women's soccer into a yearly contender in the Atlantic Sun Conference and a rising program in the South Region in just nine seasons. Blankenship started the program in 2007 and has since guided the Eagles to nine double-digit win seasons, culminating with Atlantic Sun Regular Season Championships in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015. In 2011 and 2012 he also led the Eagles to back-to-back ASUN tournament championships and became the first team in the history of the university to make it to the NCAA Tournament. The Eagles went on to win the 2014 ASUN tournament and host the first NCAA Championship event on campus. The Eagles earned their fourth NCAA Tournament appearance with the 2015 ASUN Tournament Championship and won their first NCAA game at USF in 2015, while finishing 24th in the nation. Blankenship has guided FGCU to a 120-46-19 (70.7 W%) overall record through the first ten seasons of the program's existence, including a 60-10-10 (76.2 W%) mark in the ASUN. Blankenship's impressive career record of 360-117-30 (74.3 W%) over 25 seasons has come while leading FGCU, the University of Miami, Lynn University and St. Thomas University.
