LAST TIME OUT
When FGCU takes the field Friday, the Green and Blue will have been off for 13 days following their 1-0 win over UNF Oct. 22.
Lauren Greene (Lakeland, Fla./George Jenkins HS) scored the winner, which proved to be the championship-clinching goal.
Meaghan Mulligan (Freehold, N.J./Colts Neck High School/Tennessee) and
Lindsey Patton (Jacksonville, Fla./Oakleaf HS) recorded the assists on the goal and
Melissa Weck (Yorba Linda, Calif./Esperanza HS) tallied her ninth shutout of the year.
POST-SEASON AWARDS
For the third time in her career,
Tabby Tindell (Ocala, Fla./Trinity Catholic HS) earned Player of the Year accolades, tallying a league-best 13 goals, eight assists and 34 points. Tindell was also named to the ASUN's First Team, and was joined by
Paulina Speckmaier (Miami, Fla./Gulliver Prep/Florida),
Ali Rogers (Naples, Fla./Gulf Coast HS), and
Ashley Parks (St. Louis, Mo./Lafayette HS).
Speckmaier earned postseason accolades for the third time, and First Team honors for the second. Speckmaier headlined the midfield three goals and six assists for 12 points.
Rogers collects her first career honor with a career-best year. The redshirt senior ended her time at FGCU with three goals and two assists for eight points and one match-winner.
Parks recovered from a knee injury in 2015 and turned in a First Team All-ASUN performance in 2016. Parks headlined a defense that led the ASUN in goals against average. The Eagles backline allowed only four goals during league play.
Patton ended an impressive freshman campaign with a goal and three assists to garner a nod on the Second and All-Freshman Team.
Emilie Olsen (Frekhaug, Norway/Tertnes VGS) and Weck also took home All-Freshman Team honors. Olsen finished second on the team with five goals and three assists while Weck posted an ASUN-best nine shutouts, holding opponents to a 0.76 goals against average.
ASUN SUPREMACY
What FGCU has done during conference play places the Eagles among some of the more historic runs in NCAA history. Since 2010, FGCU has climbed to the top of the regular season standings, recently clinching its seventh-straight ASUN title, unofficially the fourth-longest streak in NCAA history and the longest such active streak in Division I.
Perhaps even more impressive is FGCU's form over recent seasons. The Eagles are 30-0-3 in the last 33 regular season home conference matches, the third longest active streak in NCAA. FGCU has not lost a regular season home match in ASUN play since 2009. Boston (41) and West Virginia (35) currently hold longer streaks.
Coinciding with FGCU's impressive home record is its overall record. With an undefeated regular season, FGCU is unbeaten in 33-straight matches against conference foes in all competitions, the longest active streak in NCAA Division I. FGCU's last loss to any conference foe came Oct. 5, 2012, a 2-0 defeat at UNF.
NO. 4 KENNESAW STATE
The only team to lead the Eagles during ASUN play, the Owls have won three-straight heading into the weekend including a 5-2 win over No. 5 Jacksonville in the quarterfinals. Kim Fincher leads the offense with seven goals and seven assists and is among 12 total goal scorers on the team. KSU leads the conference with 37 goals scored but has conceded 31 on the year.
KSU has three goalkeepers with more than 300 minutes in net but the Owls have leaned on Mady Carter as of late. Carter is 5-2-0, allowing just over one goal-per-game in that stretch.
With FGCU's 2-1 win earlier in the year, the Eagles are 8-1-2 all-time against KSU. FGCU has faced Kennesaw only once in the ASUN Championships, a 3-1 win in 2014 finals.
NO. 2 LIPSCOMB
Potential Matchup: No. 1 FGCU (12-4-1, 6-0-1) vs. No. 2 Lipscomb (11-4-2, 5-1-1 ASUN)

The Lady Bisons are hoping for a rematch of the 2015 final but first need to get by a difficult Stetson side. Lipscomb is led by three-time ASUN Goalkeeper of the Year Anna Buhigas and 2016 ASUN Freshman of the Year Olivia Doak.
Doak tallied seven goals and added three assists to lead the Lipscomb offense. Natalie DuBoise and Ellen Lundy add six goals to aid in the offense.
Buhigas tallied 86 saves this season and brings a 1.10 goals against average into the tournament along with six clean sheets.
FGCU was held to a 2-2 draw earlier this season in Nashville with two late Lipscomb goals. The Eagles had led 2-0 throughout the majority of the contest but Lundy scored twice late, including one from the penalty spot, to force overtime. FGCU still leads the all-time series 8-0-3, including a 5-0 win last season in the ASUN Championship Final. Last year's championship match was the first post-season meeting.
NO. 3 STETSON
Potential Matchup: No. 1 FGCU (12-4-1, 6-0-1) vs. No. 3 Stetson (9-6-2, 5-2-0 ASUN)

Led by Sarah Collins, Stetson brings an enormous amount of confidence into Fort Myers after a 5-2 win over No. 6 UNF in the quarterfinals. Collins finished the year with 10 goals and six assists for 26 points. Since then, Collins scored three times against the Ospreys to bring her total to 13 goals this season. Adrianna Suarez and Lindsay Parent each scored three goals during the regular season.
Since stepping into the starting role, Emily Plotz has led the Hatters resurgence. The freshman has five shutouts in seven games for a 0.76 goals against average.
FGCU defeated Stetson 2-1 late in the season to overtake first place in the ASUN standings. With the win, FGCU is 10-1 all-time against Stetson and have won each of the last 10 contests. Should be FGCU and Stetson advance, it will be just the second meeting between the two schools in post-season play. Last year, the Eagles took down the Hatters 5-0 in the semifinals.
#TINDELLTRACKER
Tindell has officially secured her spot atop two ASUN career categories during the 2016 season. Against USC Upstate (Sept. 30), a pair of goals and two addition assists made Tindell the most productive player ever in ASUN history. Two days later, Tindell's match-winner was also a record-breaker as the Ocala native became the most prolific goal scorer in ASUN history. Since then, Tindell has added two more goals and one more assist.
The senior forward has 13 goals and eight assists in 2016. With her latest assist, she surpassed 2013 FGCU graduate Ashley Ciesielczyk for FGCU's career assists record.

A veteran of over two decades in collegiate coaching, head coach
Jim Blankenship, who was named the ASUN Coach of the Year in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015, has built FGCU women's soccer into a yearly contender in the ASUN Conference and a rising program in the South Region in just 10 seasons. Blankenship started the program in 2007 and has since guided the Eagles to nine double-digit win seasons, culminating with ASUN Regular Season Championships in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015. In 2011 and 2012 he also led the Eagles to back-to-back ASUN Tournament titles and became the first team in the history of the university to make it to the NCAA Tournament. The Eagles went on to win the 2014 ASUN Tournament and hosted the first NCAA Championship event on campus. The Eagles earned their fourth NCAA Tournament appearance with the 2015 ASUN Tournament Championship and won their first NCAA game at USF in 2015, while finishing 24th in the nation. Blankenship has guided FGCU to a 127-46-20 (70.6 W%) overall record through the first 10 seasons of the program's existence, including a 66-10-11 (81.8 W%) mark in the ASUN. Blankenship's impressive career record of 367-117-31 (74.2 W%) over 25 seasons has come while leading FGCU, the University of Miami, Lynn University and St. Thomas University.
