FORT MYERS, Fla. – As the end of the regular season nears, the FGCU women's soccer team returns home for a crucial weekend of ASUN Conference play. The Eagles kick off the weekend with a Senior Night celebration opposite Jacksonville Saturday at 7 p.m. The Green and Blue then make up a postponed match against current league-leaders Stetson Monday at 6 p.m.

FGCU, currently positioned in second place, trails Stetson by two points in the standings. With a pair of wins this weekend, the Eagles would control their regular season title fate with only one match remaining on the schedule. With a win Saturday, the Eagles clinch a spot in the 2016 ASUN Championships.

Saturday's match against Jacksonville is a Green Out, coinciding with the volleyball match. Monday's contest against Stetson remains Hat Night with a contest for the craziest hat in attendance.

Fans who purchased tickets to the previously scheduled Stetson match and have not already used their ticket to gain admission to another match, can use those tickets on Saturday or Monday.

For those still in need of tickets, individual match tickets remain at $7 for adults and $5 for youth and military. An All Sports Pass is again available at $100, which gives fans admission to all ticketed FGCU home regular season events, excluding men's and women's basketball. Group rates are also available for matches. For more information, please call the FGCU Ticket Office at 239-590-7145. Tickets can also be purchased at FGCUTickets.com.

Fans who cannot attend the match both matches will be streamed on ASUN.tv and live stats are available through FGCUathletics.com.

LAST TIME OUT
FGCU took four points from perhaps the most difficult road swing of the season. Facing two of the top-three teams in the ASUN entering the weekend, the Eagles came from behind to defeat Kennesaw State 2-1 Friday afternoon. Goals from Ali Rogers (Naples, Fla./Gulf Coast HS) and Tabby Tindell (Ocala, Fla./Trinity Catholic HS) cancelled an early Owl goal in the first half to propel the Eagles to the win.

FGCU took a 1-0 lead into halftime at Lipscomb on Tindell's 12th goal of the season and the Eagle lead doubled when the senior picked out Emilie Olsen (Frekhaug, Norway/Tertnes VGS) minutes into the second half. Lipscomb however refused to go down quietly, ultimately tying the match on a successful penalty attempt and a goal off a failed clearance in the final 14 minutes. The Green and Blue had the more dangerous opportunities in overtime but the match ended in a 2-2 draw. Melissa Weck (Yorba Linda, Calif./Esperanza HS) made seven saves in the match, five in the second half, for the Eagles in goal.

Over the course of 180 minutes last weekend, Paulina Speckmaier (Miami, Fla./Gulliver Prep/Florida) tallied three assists and now has six on the season.

SENIOR SENDOFF
The weekend marks the final regular season home contests for six FGCU seniors. Saturday against the Dolphins was scheduled to be the regular season home finale, and remains Senior Night.

Rogers, Speckmaier, Tindell, Lauren Knight (O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon Township HS), Sarah Lowicki (Burlington, Ontario/Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School) and Yazmin Velez (Venice, Fla./Venice HS) will be honored prior to the start of Saturday's contest. Including a redshirt career, the current crop of seniors has produced a 67-21-10 record, four ASUN regular season titles, three ASUN tournament championships, and the program's first NCAA Tournament win.

In addition, Tindell, Rogers, and Speckmaier all find themselves in the top 10 in FGCU history. Tindell tops the points, goals, assists, and game-winning goals categories while Speckmaier finds herself fifth in assists and goals while moving into fourth in points following her three assist weekend. With her goal against the Owls, Rogers moved into a tie for tenth in goals scored.

ASUN SUPREMACY
What FGCU has done during conference play places the Eagles among some of the more historic runs in NCAA history. Since 2010, FGCU has climbed to the top of the regular season standings, bringing a streak of six-straight conference titles into 2016, unofficially the fourth-longest streak in NCAA history and the longest such active streak in Division I.

Perhaps even more impressive is FGCU's form over recent seasons. The Eagles are 28-0-3 in the last 31 regular season home conference matches, the third longest active streak in NCAA. FGCU has not lost a regular season home match in ASUN play since 2009. Boston (39) and West Virginia (34) currently hold longer streaks.

Coinciding with FGCU's impressive home record is its overall record.  FGCU is now unbeaten in 30-straight matches against conference foes in all competitions, the longest active streak in NCAA Division I. FGCU's last loss to any conference foe came Oct. 5, 2012, a 2-0 defeat at UNF.

WHERE THEY STAND
Entering the week, FGCU as a team jumped into the top 50 in three offensive categories: assists per game, total assists, and total points. With 1.93 assists per game FGCU is now 35th nationally, and moved into 32nd in total assists (27). In terms of total points, FGCU is positioned 49th with 79 total points.

Individually, Speckmaier is the latest Eagle to make a move into the national rankings, matching Tindell's 0.5 assists per game to position themselves 25th nationally. Speckmaier is also 37th in total assists (6) while Tindell is 17th in the same category with seven assists.

Weck fell out of the top 10 in shutouts, but remains 11th in the NCAA with seven clean sheets, three off the pace of the national leader.

With two goals last weekend, Tindell finds herself once again among the NCAA's best. The forward is second in game-winning goals with six this season, one behind the national lead. She also finds herself third in total goals with 12 and third in total points with 31. Tindell is both three goals and three points behind the national leader.

SCOUTING THE DOLPHINS
Jacksonville comes to Fort Myers with a 3-9-1 overall mark and a 1-3-1 record in conference play. The Dolphins are also winless in their previous four contests, including a 1-0 loss to NJIT. JU has received goals from eight different players this season, however only two have found the back of the net on more than one occasion. Joelle D'Entrmont leads the Dolphins with three goals and three assists on the year while Zoe Zinis has two goals in her freshman season.

Sara Wicks returns for the Dolphins in goal, allowing 1.86 goals per contest. Wicks has conceded 21 goals in 12 starts.

Jacksonville has historically proven to be tough competition for FGCU. Since the first meeting in 2007, FGCU is 3-2-6 against JU with all three victories coming at the FGCU Soccer Complex and all since 2012. Last season, a Tindell goal was cancelled out by the Dolphins as the teams played to a 1-1 draw.

SCOUTING THE HATTERS
Winners of six consecutive matches, Stetson has risen to the top of the ASUN standings bringing a perfect 4-0-0 ASUN record into the weekend. Stetson faces UNF Saturday in DeLand before making the trip to Fort Myers. The Hatters started the year 1-4-2 before a double overtime win over Campbell propelled Stetson to what is now a six-match winning streak.

Sarah Collins leads the Hatters with eight goals and six assists for a total of 22 points. Collins is one of 13 Hatters to record a point this season and leads a pack of 10 goal scorers. Behind Collins, Adrianna Suarez and Lindsay Parent each have three goals to their name this season.

In goal, Emily Plotz brings an undefeated record into the weekend, posting a 6-0-1 record for the Hatters in her seven starts. Plotz has allowed three goals in nearly 650 minutes. Of Plotz's seven results, five have been clean sheets.

Stetson took the first ever meeting between the two teams back in 2007. Since the 3-2 loss, the Eagles have won nine-straight while allowing only three goals to Hatters in that span. Tindell has had the most success against the Hatters, posting two hat tricks (2013, 2015) and the lone goal in 2014. The Green and Blue most recently defeated the Hatters in the 2015 ASUN Championships, a 5-0 win in the semifinals.

#TINDELLTRACKER
Tindell has officially secured her spot atop two ASUN career categories during the 2016 season. Against USC Upstate (Sept. 30), a pair of goals and two addition assists made Tindell the most productive player ever in ASUN history. Two days later, Tindell's match-winner was also a record-breaker as the Ocala native became the most prolific goal scorer in ASUN history. Since then, Tindell has added two more goals and one more assist.

The senior forward has 12 goals and seven assists in 2016. With her latest assist, she surpassed 2013 FGCU graduate Ashley Ciesielczyk for FGCU's career assists record.

COACH JIM BLANKENSHIP
A veteran of over two decades in collegiate coaching, head coach Jim Blankenship, who was named the ASUN Coach of the Year in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015, has built FGCU women's soccer into a yearly contender in the ASUN Conference and a rising program in the South Region in just 10 seasons. Blankenship started the program in 2007 and has since guided the Eagles to nine double-digit win seasons, culminating with ASUN Regular Season Championships in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015. In 2011 and 2012 he also led the Eagles to back-to-back ASUN Tournament titles and became the first team in the history of the university to make it to the NCAA Tournament. The Eagles went on to win the 2014 ASUN Tournament and hosted the first NCAA Championship event on campus. The Eagles earned their fourth NCAA Tournament appearance with the 2015 ASUN Tournament Championship and won their first NCAA game at USF in 2015, while finishing 24th in the nation. Blankenship has guided FGCU to a 124-46-20 (70.5 W%) overall record through the first 10 seasons of the program's existence, including a 63-10-11 (81.7 W%) mark in the ASUN. Blankenship's impressive career record of 364-117-31 (74.1 W%) over 25 seasons has come while leading FGCU, the University of Miami, Lynn University and St. Thomas University.
