THE GREEN AND BLUE
The Eagles split their matches last weekend, dropping a four-set heartbreaker to Kennesaw State on Friday before responding with a dominating shutout over Lipscomb on Saturday. FGCU's road-win over the Bisons marks its first victory in Nashville since 2012.

With ASUN play underway, FGCU has outscore its conference opponents in 13 of 16 sets played. The Eagles dynamic offense ranks 14th in the league and first in the conference with a .281 hitting percentage. In recent weeks, the team has become more balanced by making strides on the defensive side of the ball. FGCU has allowed opponents a hitting percentage of .141 over the last 10 matches compared to the .192 it allowed through the first 10 of the season.

Much of the team's improvement on defense has been a result of excellent play from libero Courtney Stephens (Winter Park, Fla./Winter Park HS) who is averaging 4.06 digs per set and ranks fifth in the ASUN with total digs 280 on the season.

Sophomore hitter Amanda Carroll (Albuquerque, N.M./Sandia HS) leads the offensive attack for FGCU. Her 4.48 kills per set ranks 12th in the NCAA and first in the ASUN.

The Eagles offense is paced by setter Maggie Rick (Alpharetta, Ga./Blessed Trinity Catholic HS) who averages an ASUN-leading 10.81 assists per set. Rick has assisted on 77 percent of FGCU's 968 kills so far this season.

SCOUTING JACKSONVILLE
The Dolphins spilt their matches last weekend with a 3-1 victory over NJIT and a 3-0 loss to USC Upstate.

Jacksonville has struggles with its offensive production averaging a .154 hitting percentage, but has made improvements defensively, increasing from 1.74 to 2.03 blocks per set.

Setter Jizzyan Gesualdo is fourth in the ASUN with 526 assists, and became the active career-leader in the conference after accruing 70 in the Dolphin's two matches last weekend.

The Eagles hold an 11-10 advantage all-time over Jacksonville. Last season, the teams split the series with both matches extending to five sets.

SCOUTING NORTH FLORIDA
The Osprey make their way to Alico Arena riding a three-match winning streak after victories over NJIT, USC State and Bethune-Cookman. UNF's success is in part thanks to a stingy defense up front, as the Osprey have collected 201 blocks so far on the season – almost 70 more than any other team in the conference.

Three North Florida players sit in the top-10 in ASUN blocks, with senior Morgan Van Alstine leading the way. Her 98 total blocks ties for 12th in the NCAA.

Junior Carinne Turner and freshman Gabby O'Connell have tallied a team-leading nine double-doubles each. O'Connell leads the team and ranks fourth in the ASUN with 3.08 kills per set.

FGCU has downed North Florida in 18 of 22 meetings all-time. The Eagles swept the series last season with back-to-back 3-1 victories over the Osprey.

RPI TOP 100
FGCU remained at 63 in the latest RPI ranking, which was released on Oct. 10. The Eagles are currently the highest rated team in the ASUN followed by Lipscomb at 90 and Kennesaw State at 110.

UP NEXT
The Eagles travel to Stetson to face the Hatters in a 7 p.m. match on Tuesday, Oct. 25. Earlier this season, FGCU downed Stetson 3-0 en route to tying the program's longest winning streak with 15 straight victories.
