Â
"We played better today and that was our goal before the tournament, to improve each day," said head coach
Sarah Trew. "We had ourselves in a really good position to notch a top-eight finish, however we just couldn't hold on coming in. We need to learn how to finish stronger with pars and birdies instead of bogeys and doubles. We have some time before conference so we can attack our weaknesses and go in swinging. I am proud of Maddie for her top-20 finish. She played consistent for us all three rounds and she is really close to breaking through with some low numbers."
Â
Easterbrook carded a plus four score of 76 in the final day of competition with seven bogeys and three birdies.
Â
Senior
Chelsea Guoynes (Traverse City, Mich./Traverse City Central High School) placed second on the team with an overall score of 233 and an overall ranking of 29. Guoynes also carded a 76 in the third round with five bogeys and a birdie on hole 7 to complement her previous rounds of 80 and 77.

Â
Â
Sara Detlefsen (Eagan, Minn./Minnesota Virtual Academy) tied Guoynes with a 233 and a 29th place finish. Detlefen carded a 72 in the first round but was unable to get back into the 70s, with scores of 81 and 80 in the final two rounds. However, her first-round score was strong enough to keep her among the field's top-30.
Â
Mei Khuan Yong (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia/S.M.K. Cochrane) and
Georgia Price (Bude, England/Fort Myers High School) rounded out the Green and Blue's lineup with total scores of 235 and 247, respectively.
