Men's Tennis Falls to UCF, 6-1

ORLANDO, Fla. - The FGCU men's tennis dropped to 0-2 on the young season with a 6-1 defeat at the hands of the Central Florida Knights on Saturday. Thibaud Aime earned the lone point for FGCU with a solid three-set victory at the #1 singles position (3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (13-11), and Aime teamed up with Brenton Bacon for a win at the #1 doubles position as well, but it wasn't enough for the Eagles. Bacon played a strong match against Tarek Ben Soltane at the #2 singles slot, but came up short, losing 6-4, 7-6 (7-3).

The Eagles will be off for a couple weeks before they hit the court again, taking on Florida A&M in Tallahassee on Saturday, February 7th, at 10:00 AM. The Eagles will be back at home on Friday, February 20th at 2:00 PM, when they will host Florida Atlantic.
