Men's Tennis Beat Saint Leo 8-1

FORT MYERS, Fla. '" Four players won two matches each as No. 19 Florida Gulf Coast University defeated Saint Leo University 8-1 in men'™s tennis action at the FGCU Tennis Complex on Sunday. FGCU captured two of the three doubles matches and swept all six singles matches for its 11th consecutive victory. Senior Juan Carlos Osorio (Quito, Ecuador) and freshmen Edson Lima (Brasilia, Brazil) both improved to 12-0 in singles play with wins at No. 1 and No. 5 singles respectively. Senior Tim Offerman (Hamburg, Germany) picked up a straight sets win at No. 2 singles as did sophomore Gavin Manders at No. 3 singles. Freshman Danny Lee (Naples, Fla.) improved to 12-1 with a win at No. 4 singles while freshman Brad Henderson (Lithia, Fla.) remained unbeaten at 5-0 at the No. 6 position. Manders and Henderson teamed up for a win at No. 2 doubles while Lima and Lee improved to 12-1 with a win at No. 3 doubles. FGCU (12-1) will host No. 1 Drury University (7-0) on Monday at 2 p.m. at the FGCU Tennis Complex.
