FORT MYERS, Fla. '" The No. 16 Florida Gulf Coast University men'™s tennis team picked up its eighth shutout in nine matches with a 9-0 win over Bentley College Wednesday afternoon at the FGCU Tennis Complex.
FGCU swept the doubles matches as seniors
Richard Stempnowski (Cape Coral, FL) and
Jose Pastrello (Limiera, Brazil) won 8-3 in the first position, juniors
Juan Carlos Osorio (Equito, Ecuador) and
Tim Offerman (Hamburg, Germany) captured the second position 8-2, and freshman
Gavin Manders (Warwick, Bermuda) and senior
Seth Fogelman (Naples, FL) were 8-4 winners in the third spot.
All six players also recorded straight set singles victories for FGCU (10-2), with Offerman and Fogelman both registering 6-0, 6-0 wins.
FGCU returns to the courts on Friday when it hosts No. 10 Armstrong Atlantic State University.
