FORT MYERS, Fla. '" The No. 16 Florida Gulf Coast University men'™s tennis team posted their fifth consecutive shutout Thursday afternoon with a 9-0 win over Palm Beach Atlantic University at the FGCU Tennis Complex. The Eagles (8-1) did not lose a set in posting their sixth shutout in nine matches this spring.

Richard Stempnowski (Cape Coral, FL) and senior
Jose Pastrello (Limiera, Brazil) continued their dominance in the No. 1 doubles position, improving their dual match record to 9-0. Juniors
Juan Carlos Osorio (Quito, Ecuador) and
Tim Offerman (Hamburg, Germany) picked up their seventh win at No. 2 doubles while sophomore
Alberto Gutierrez (Bogotá, Columbia) and senior
Seth Fogelman (Naples, FL) improved to 7-0 with a win at No. 3 doubles.
Each of six players also swept all six singles matches for the Eagles. Stempnowski, ranked sixth in Division II singles play, improved his dual match record to 8-1 this spring with a win at No. 1 singles. Osorio is a perfect 6-0 with his win at No. 3 singles.
FGCU host Northwood, Fla., the fourth-ranked team in NAIA, on Saturday afternoon at the FGCU Tennis Complex.
