Carmen (Paez) Jimenez
"I hope that when a little girl walks up to the FGCU softball field, she realizes she is stepping foot on blood, sweat, and tears. I hope she is inspired and falls in love with the sport. Past softball players have spent their career training and living on that field. I was one of them. One thing that I want all of those little girls to understand, awards are not just handed out to anyone, they are earned."

Coach David Deiros

"Carmen was the best pure hitter to ever wear the Green and Blue. Her prodigious power was only topped by her competitive ferocity and boundless generosity to her teammates."
