SHIZUOKA, Japan - Florida Gulf Coast's women's golf team moved to ninth through two rounds of the Pan Pacific University Golf Super League Tournament at Grand Fields Country Club. The Eagles posted a 22-over 306 in round two, bringing their 36-hole total to 42-over 610.

FGCU trails leader Nihon by 46 shots after the Japanese host extended its lead to 4-under through 36 holes. TCU climbed into second at 12-over, while San Jose State and St. Andrew's share third at 15-over. Chubu Gakuin jumped ahead of the Eagles into seventh, and Tohoku Fukushi rounds out eighth just ahead of FGCU. Round three concludes the tournament Friday locally, Thursday stateside.

Sydney Deal turned in the low round for the Eagles, carding a 72 (+1) to sit tied for 56th in the combined men's and women's standings. She opened with an even-par 36 on the front nine before adding a 1-over 36 on the back. Deal is at 5-over 148 through two rounds.

Annie Yost and Charlene Lamb matched rounds of 77 (+6). Yost, tied for 84th, turned in 1-over 37 on the front nine but ran into trouble on the back for a 5-over 40, putting her at 11-over 153 for the tournament. Lamb, tied for 87th, carded a 4-over 40 on the front nine before settling for a 2-over 37 coming home, moving her to 12-over 154.

Gia Culler-Guerra is tied for 106th after an 80 (+9). She played the front nine at 1-over 37 before a difficult back nine led to an 8-over 43. Culler-Guerra stands at 16-over 158 for the tournament.

Sarah Hyten had the toughest day for the Eagles, posting an 81 (+10) and dropping to tied for 93rd in the standings. She struggled to a 6-over 42 on the front nine before settling down for a 4-over 39 on the back. Hyten sits at 8-over 156 through 36 holes.
