CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  Michael Ndiweni was in the right place at the right time to find the back of the net and deliver Florida Gulf Coast men's soccer's first result in ASUN play with a 2-2 draw against Queens on Saturday night.

Ndiweni controlled a rebound directly in front of the net after a shot from Lucas Sperner in the 86th minute and took advantage to equalize the contest at 2-2. Both of Ndiweni's goals at FGCU (4-4-1, 0-2-1) have come on the road in the 86th minute, as he also posted the game-winner against Virginia on Aug. 31.

Earlier in the second half, the Royals (2-6-2, 1-1-2) took a 2-1 lead after scoring its pair of goals in quick succession. Victor Baptistelli leveled the game at 1-1 in the 58th minute and Luis Vera Mayorca put Queens on top, 2-1, in the 61st minute.

FGCU dominated possession in the first half, taking the first lead of the game on a goal from Flavio D'Angelo in the 18th minute. D'Angelo scored for the third time in his freshman campaign on a strong shot to the top of the net from the top of the box.

The Eagles racked up corner kicks in the first half, totaling ten. Four of the chances came one after another in the 30th and 31st minutes. FGCU finished the contest with a 13-1 advantage in corner kicks. 

Next, FGCU returns to Pickering Field for just the second time in 2026 to take on FIU at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29.
