FORT MYERS, Fla. - The defending ASUN Champions are teeing off a new era. Florida Gulf Coast University men's golf head coach Lee McCoy has unveiled his first schedule at the helm, a 2026-27 slate that opens in Japan and stretches across five states.

The lineup features nine regular-season tournaments, with four in the fall and five in the spring, before the Eagles defend their conference crown at the ASUN Championship in April. Four of FGCU's nine events this season will take place right here in Florida, including the Eagles' home tournament at West Bay Club.

"We are fired up to be competing against the best teams in the country this season," McCoy said. "With a mostly new team this year, I'm excited that our players will get the chance to beat the best of the best as soon as they get here and build their confidence."

Seniors Christian Figueredo and Brody Stevenson return to a roster McCoy is building from the ground up in his first season. He's stocked it with plenty of new talent to grow around them, adding freshmen Trevor Tingle and Jay Wilson, juniors Charlie Preston and Mason Fundingsland, and fifth-year Alfie Storer.
 

The Eagles kick things off in a big way with a trip across the Pacific, joining the Eagles' women's golf program in the Pan-Pacific UGSL Tournament Sept. 2-4 in Shizuoka, Japan. After returning from Japan, the Eagles settle in for their home event, hosting the West Bay Collegiate Invitational Oct. 5-6 at West Bay Club in Estero, Fla., where the Eagles ran away with the title a year ago, finishing 36-under.

From there, the Eagles close out their fall slate with back-to-back tournaments: The Bryson Invitational, Oct. 12-14 in Miami, Fla., and the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational, hosted by USF, Oct. 18-19 in Vero Beach, Fla. FGCU finished runner-up at last year's Quail Valley event, closing at 27-under.

FGCU opens the spring portion of its schedule at the SeaBest Invitational, hosted by Jacksonville, Feb. 1-2 in Atlantic Beach, Fla., where the Eagles placed fifth a season ago. The Eagles then head out west for the Las Vegas Invitational, hosted by UNLV, Feb. 28-Mar. 2 in Las Vegas, Nev., before traveling to Greensboro, Ga., for the Linger Longer Invitational, hosted by Mercer, Mar. 19-21. FGCU rounds out its March slate at the Hootie Intercollegiate, hosted by Charleston and South Carolina, Mar. 28-30 in Awendaw, S.C., an event the Eagles finished tied for sixth at a year ago, closing at 11-under.

FGCU closes out its regular season at the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial, hosted by Virginia, Apr. 12-13 in Charlottesville, Va., before setting its sights on a repeat at the ASUN Men's Golf Championship, Apr. 20-22 in Valdosta, Ga. The Eagles enter as the reigning champions after sweeping both the team and individual titles at last year's championship, finishing 15-under as a team to capture the program's first-ever ASUN crown.

FGCU capped its historic 2025-26 campaign with an appearance at the Marana Regional, with Figueredo leading the way for the Eagles at 2-over.

With a new coach at the helm, a roster stacked with fresh talent and an ASUN title to defend, the Eagles are teeing up an exciting new chapter for FGCU men's golf.
