FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast women's soccer head coach
Jim Blankenship announced the signing of Sarah Greiner ahead of the 2026 campaign.

Greiner comes to FGCU from Miami via Tennessee. The Braselton, Georgia, native heads to Fort Myers with 45 career games played between Miami and Tennessee. She played 806 minutes with the Hurricanes and started six matches as a junior in 2025. Her lone goal of 2025 came on August 26 against Lipscomb.
As a sophomore at Tennessee, she appeared in 14 matches and started one. Greiner finished the year with one goal and one assist. She scored the game winner off of a corner kick against Florida to secure a 1-0 win and send the Lady Vols to the SEC Tournament on October 30, and had a last-minute assist to Sammi Woods in Tennessee's home opener against Chattanooga to secure a 2-0 victory on August 18. As a freshman in Knoxville, she appeared in 13 matches. She recorded 12 shots throughout the season (six on goal). Greiner scored the first goal of her career in her collegiate debut, helping the Lady Vols earn a 4-1 victory over Cal on August 17.
Greiner has earned All-Academic honors all three years in college, with two SEC Honor Roll selections in 2023 and 2024 and an ACC All-Academic team nod in 2025.
In high school, Greiner was a three-time first-team all-region nominee and 2022 preseason all-state honoree at Flowery Branch High School. Her accolades included the 2023 Region 8-AAAAA Forward of the Year, the 2023 Region 8- AAAAA Player of the Year, and the 2023 Hall County Soccer Player of the Year. She finished her high school career with 129 goals.
Greiner set the Hall County and Flowery Branch High School single-season goal record with 54. She garnered team MVP honors in 2021 and 2023. A 2023 Georgia Girls Super XI honoree, she played ECNL for coach Campbell Chapman at GSA, earning First Team All-Southeast Conference honors in 2021, 2022 and 2023. She was named to the 2020-2022 National Training Center, the 2020 ICC South Team, the ODP South Region Team and the 2019-2021 South East Conference Selection program.
A multi-sport athlete, she also ran track and field. Greiner finished seventh in the 2022 GHSA 4A State 4×800 State and finished seventh in 2023 GHSA 5A State 4×800 State. The 2022 Rookie of the Year, she was a four-year varsity athlete, graduating with honors.
The daughter of Angela and Shawn Greiner, she has one brother, Matthew.
