Box Score FORT MYERS, Fla. – An explosive offense that broke through in the fifth inning before weather interfered would be the deciding factor in FGCU's 10-6 (7 inn.) win over Stetson that began on Saturday and was declared completed on Sunday.
After heavy rain began falling in Fort Myers with two outs remaining in the top of the seventh, umpires brought a halt to the contest with lightning striking after the field had been cleared. The resumption was delayed until Sunday, but troublesome weather forecasts prompted both teams to end the contest and series at that point.
Sunday's series finale was canceled as well. Fans with tickets to Sunday's game can redeem them at the FGCU Ticket Office for another home game.

He was one of four Hatter pitchers to take the mound with all four allowing runs.
