Alexander has been highly efficient inside, shooting better than 60 percent from the floor, and Rolle fills the stat sheet with rebounds, assists, and defensive activity.
Defensively, the Eagles have been the tone-setter in ASUN play. Entering Thursday's matchup, FGCU is holding conference opponents to the third fewest points, the fourth-lowest field goal percentage, and the lowest three-point shooting percentage in the league. The Eagles also allow the second fewest rebounds and rank fourth in defensive rebounds, using pressure and physicality to disrupt opposing offenses.
West Georgia comes into Thursday's contest at 3-1 in conference play following a 74-59 home victory over Jacksonville. The Wolves pulled away with strong second-half execution, shooting 45.1 percent from the field and knocking down seven three-pointers. Tolbert contributes 14.1 points per game and operates as a primary playmaker, while Destiny Jones anchors the interior, pulling down 8.2 rebounds per game. West Georgia's scoring production from multiple players and its physical presence make the Wolves a challenging matchup, particularly at home, where they are 8-0 this season.
For FGCU, the focus remains on steady improvement as conference play progresses. The Eagles will look to continue getting better game by game, emphasize transition defense, contain dribble penetration, and apply pressure at the rim through rim runners and downhill drives. Executing the details on both ends will be key as FGCU looks to keep its momentum rolling on the road.
Following Thursday's game, the Eagles remain away from home, traveling to Charlotte, North Carolina, to take on Queens on Saturday, Jan. 17, at 2 p.m.
