FORT MYERS, Fla. – ASUN action returns to Alico Arena on Thursday night as Florida Gulf Coast men's basketball (7-10, 1-3 ASUN) continues its homestand against Queens (9-8, 4-0 ASUN) at 7 p.m.

The last time out, the Eagles fell 84-77 to Lipscomb. 14 made 3-pointers for Lipscomb was the difference on Saturday at Alico Arena, as the Bisons hit 8 of their14 triples in the second half en route to a 56 point period. The Bisons also went 18-for-21 at the free throw line, while FGCU went 5-for-17 from behind the arc and 12-for-19 at the charity stripe in the game.

JR Konieczny led FGCU with 26 points on 12-for-17 shooting from the field. He grabbed ten rebounds for his second double-double of the season and also had four steals. It's the second time this season that Konieczny has had back-to-back 20-point outings. Rahmir Barno scored 15 with seven assists and five steals, and Rory Stewart added 12 points for the Eagles.

Queens enters at 9-8 with a perfect 4-0 mark in the ASUN, registering close wins over EKU (91-89) and North Florida (89-82) and a pair of 20-point wins over Bellarmine (98-76) and Jacksonville (77-51). The Royals played a difficult nonconference slate, including Virginia, Villanova, Arkansas, Auburn and Wake Forest. A 101-94 win over UNC Greensboro in the ASUN-SoCon Challenge stands as their best nonconference result.

The Royals have four players averaging double-digit scoring. Nasir Mann scores 14.3 points and grabs 5.6 rebounds and tallies 1.1 steals per game. Avantae Parker adds 10.9 points and 1.1 blocks per game; Chris Ashby scores 12.6 points per game and Yoav Berman contributes 11.2 points per game. Jordan Watford notches 4.2 assists per game.

Queens leads the all-time series 6-2. Both of FGCU's wins have come in Fort Myers, in the regular season in 2024 and 2025. The last time the two squads met, Ashby scored 12 to lead Queens to a 71-65 win.
