FORT MYERS, Fla. – Featuring eight non-conference home games at Alico Arena, a pair of games across town to the Fort Myers Tip-Off and road trips to California as well as Big 12 and Southeastern Conference schools, FGCU head men's basketball coach Pat Chambers unveiled his team's full 2026-27 schedule on Tuesday.

In all, FGCU will travel from coast to coast to play in eight different states this coming season, including the team's first trip to California since 2022, when the Green & Blue beat Southern Cal, 74-61, in Los Angeles. In addition to the Sunshine State and the Golden State, FGCU will play games in Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, North Carolina and Tennessee this year.

With Tuesday's announcement came the release of two great Mini Plans for Eagles fans with a four-game Flex Plan (starting at $49 per ticket) and a "Sixth Man" Flex Plan (starting at $71 per ticket). The Eagles will be tested early with trips to UCF (Nov. 2) and Georgia (Nov. 9) in the first three games of the schedule, sandwiched around FGCU's home opener on Nov. 6 against New College of Florida.

FIU visits Alico Arena on Nov. 13, a place where the Panthers have not won since 2020. FGCU will host Abraham Baldwin College on Nov. 15 before heading across Alligator Alley to Boca Raton. On Nov. 18, the Eagles make their first trip back to FAU since stunning the Owls, 80-78, in 2024. Thanksgiving week begins with a trip across town to Suncoast Credit Union Arena for the Fort Myers Tip-Off, where the Eagles will face Charlotte (Nov. 23) and Georgia State (Nov. 25). Florida Gulf Coast will then head down to the Bayou to play at New Orleans on the 29th, wrapping up November.
 

December starts with a trip to the West Coast as FGCU will be the first opponent for Pepperdine in the Waves' new The Mountain at Mullin Park arena. Then the Eagles head to the City of Angels to face Loyola Marymount on Dec. 7.

After playing the previous three games in two different time zones, FGCU returns to The Nest for a four-game home stand, welcoming Alcorn State (Dec. 13), Tarleton State (Dec. 19), Abilene Christian (Dec. 21) and Florida Tech (Dec. 28) to Alico Arena.
 

On Dec. 31, the Eagles will put a 6-0 all-time record on New Year's Eve on the line with a trip to Central Arkansas before making their first trip to Little Rock on Jan. 2. The non-conference schedule wraps up at home on Jan. 5 with a visit from UT Arlington.

2026-27 Opponent Series Capsules
UCF (Nov. 2 in Orlando, Florida at Addition Financial Arena)

• Third all-time meeting between the two programs, with the series tied, 1-1.
• This game will mark the third time FGCU will visit UCF.
• FGCU is 167-90 all-time against teams from Florida but just 1-9 against current members of the Big 12 Conference.
• FGCU won the inaugural matchup, 69-67, on Dec. 21, 2002, but UCF won the most recent matchup on Dec. 20, 2025.

 
New College of Florida (Nov. 6 in Fort Myers, Florida at Alico Arena)

• Second all‑time meeting between the two programs, with FGCU leading the series 1–0.
• FGCU won the inaugural matchup 96–60 on Nov. 3, 2025.
• FGCU is 284-105 (.730) all-time at Alico Arena.
• This will be FGCU's second straight year hosting New College of Florida.
• FGCU set the tone early, building a 44–29 halftime lead in last year's meeting.

 
Georgia (Nov. 9 in Athens, Georgia at Stegeman Coliseum)

• This is the first meeting between the two programs.
• FGCU is 21-21 (.500) all-time when playing in the Peach State.
• Georgia competes in the SEC and is coming off an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2026.
• The Eagles are looking for their first win over an SEC opponent.

 
FIU (Nov. 13 in Fort Myers, Florida at Alico Arena)

• This will be the 19th all-time meeting between the two programs, with FIU leading the series by a mere two games.
• FGCU is 5-3 all-time at home against FIU
• FGCU's largest win in the series was 82-63 on Dec.11, 2016
• FIU's longest streak in the series was five straight wins from 2017-2021

 
Abraham Baldwin College (Nov. 15 in Fort Myers, Florida at Alico Arena)

• First all-time meeting between the two programs
• ABAC competes in the NAIA and is located in Tifton, Georgia.
• FGCU went 11-6 at home last season.

 
FAU (Nov.18 in Boca Raton, Florida at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena)

• This will be the 10th all-time meeting between the two programs
• FGCU is 2-3 all-time on the road against FAU but won in the Eagles' last trip across Alligator Alley, 80-78, on Nov. 30, 2024.
• FAU leads the overall series, 5-4.
• FGCU's largest win in the series was 75-62 on Dec. 28, 2016.

 
Charlotte (Nov. 23 in Fort Myers, Florida at Suncoast Credit Union Arena) 

• This is the first all-time meeting between the two programs.
• FGCU is 7-10 all-time against current members of the American Conference.
• Charlotte owns 11 NCAA Tournament appearances highlighted by a 1977 Final Four run.
• This will be the first of two teams from the Queen City that FGCU will face this season.

 
Georgia State (Nov. 23 in Fort Myers, Florida at Suncoast Credit Union Arena) 

• This will be the first all-time meeting between the two programs.
• The Eagles are 3-3 all-time against Sun Belt Conference teams from Georgia.
• FGCU is 4-5 all‑time against current Sun Belt Conference programs.
• Georgia State has won multiple Sun Belt championships, including three tournament titles since 2015.

 
New Orleans (Nov. 29 in New Orleans, Louisiana at Lakefront Arena)

• This will be the first all‑time meeting between the two programs and just the fourth time FGCU will travel to Louisiana. The Eagles are 2-1 when playing in the Bayou State.
• New Orleans competes in the Southland Conference under head coach Mark Slessinger.
• FGCU is 1-1 all-time against current Southland Conference programs.
• This trip marks the first of two trips to "LA" for FGCU this year.
• New Orleans has prior history against ASUN programs, including multiple matchups with Jacksonville in the 1990s when the two programs were part of the Trans-America Athletic Conference.

 
Pepperdine (Dec. 5 in Malibu, California at The Mountain at Mulin Park)

• This is the first time the Eagles and the Waves will face on the hardwood.
• FGCU will be part of Pepperdine's new arena debut, taking the floor as the first basketball game to be played at The Mountain at Mullin Park.
• Pepperdine is entering its first season under head coach Ed Schilling.
• FGCU is 6-3 all-time against teams from the state of California.
• The Eagles are 2-1 when facing a West Coast Conference opponent.

 
Loyola Marymount (Dec. 7 in Los Angeles, California at Gersten Pavilion)

• This is the first all-time meeting between the two programs.
• FGCU will be making it's third trip to the City of Angles, where the Eagles are 1-1. The Green & Blue claimed a 74-61 win over Southern Cal on Nov. 7, 2022 in its last trip out to LA.
• FGCU has limited West Coast experience, including a 68–67 win over Long Beach State in 2016.
• LMU has made four NCAA Tournament appearances - 1988, 1989, 1990, and 1991
• LMU has a combined 1-6 previous record against Florida schools 

 
Alcorn State (Dec. 13 in Fort Myers, Florida at Alico Arena)

• This will be the second all-time meeting between the two programs.
• Both matchups have been played at Alico Arena.
• FGCU leads the series 1–0 after a 50–48 win on Nov. 21, 2012.
• The Eagles are 6-2 all-time against SWAC opponents.

 
Tarleton State (Dec. 19 in Fort Myers, Florida at Alico Arena)

• This will be the first all‑time meeting between the two programs.
• Tarleton State competes in the United Athletic Conference (UAC) as part of UNISUN Sports under new head coach Eric Haut.
• FGCU is 21-22 all-time against current members of the UAC.
• The Eagles are 5-9 against teams from the Lone Star State.

 
Abilene Christian (Dec. 21 in Fort Myers, Florida at Alico Arena)

• This will be the first all‑time meeting between the two programs.
• ACU moved to Division I in 2013 and finished its four‑year reclassification in 2017, gaining full postseason eligibility.
• Abilene Christian has made two NCAA Tournament appearances since joining Division I, earning its first bid in 2019 and recording its first-ever NCAA Tournament win in 2021 with a 53–52 upset over Texas.
• Abilene Christian is the second of five UAC opponents for the Eagles this season.

 
Florida Tech (Dec. 28 in Fort Myers, Florida at Alico Arena)

• This will be the ninth all‑time meeting between the two programs.
• FGCU leads the all‑time series, 8-0, winning every matchup since the first meeting in 2002.
• The Eagles have won all seven home games in the series and are 1–0 on the road.
• FGCU is averaging 82 points per game across the eight matchups.
• FGCU's largest margin of victory came in 2016, a 101–49 win at Alico Arena.

 
Central Arkansas (Dec. 31 in Conway, Arkansas at Farris Center)

• This will be the eighth all‑time meeting between the two former ASUN rivals.
• The Eagles are 6-0 all-time when playing on New Year's Eve.
• FGCU leads the all‑time series over UCA, 4–3, and won the last regular-season meeting in a 75-51 (OT) victory last season in Fort Myers.
• The Eagles are 2–1 at home and 2–1 on the road against the Bears.
• FGCU is averaging 80.6 points per game across the seven matchups.

 
Little Rock (Jan. 2 in Little Rock, Arkansas at Jack Stephens Event Center)

• This will be the first time FGCU and Little Rock will meet on the hardwood.
• Little Rock joined the United Athletic Conference (UAC) on July 1, 2026 after spending four seasons (2022–26) in the Ohio Valley Conference, following 31 consecutive seasons in the Sun Belt Conference prior to 2022.
• Little Rock has made five NCAA Tournament appearances, highlighted by a 2016 First Round upset over Purdue.
• While this will be the first time playing at the Jack Stephens Center and against the Trojans, FGCU is 4-3 all-time when playing in the Natural State.

 
UT Arlington (Jan. 5 in Fort Myers, Florida at Alico Arena)

• This will be the third all‑time meeting between the two programs.
• FGCU leads the all‑time series, 2–0, winning both matchups in 2016 and 2017.
• FGCU scored 85 points in both games against UTA. 
• FGCU won the most recent matchup, an 85–78 road victory in 2017.
• This will be UT Arlington's second-ever trip to Alico Arena, with the Mavericks' first visit coming on Nov. 16, 2016.
