Florida Gulf Coast University's volleyball team earned a 3-1 victory over Green Bay on Saturday during the final day of the Coyote Invitational in Vermillion, South Dakota.
Barbara Koehler posted 15 kills and 12 digs, adding two aces.
Hanna Borer ran the offense with 33 assists and recorded 10 digs.
Catharina Scorza set a career high with nine kills and
Anna Marzella recorded a career-high four aces.Â
Green Bay (1-7) dominated the first set, gaining a 19-15 lead before FGCU (4-4) responded with an 8-3 run to take the lead 23-22. Phoenix secured the set 25-22.
The second set stayed tight, with multiple lead changes. Though Green Bay led 24-22, they  didn't capitalize set point and the Eagles rallied and outscored Phoenix 7-3 to win 29-27.
In the third, FGCU built a 19-15 lead, helped by four kills from
Erica Muhizi. Green Bay cut the margin to 23-20, but the Eagles closed it out, 25-20.
Set four saw FGCU jump out to an 18-12 advantage. Green Bay trailed 22-19 after a run, but the Eagles found another gear. The final point came on an ace from Koehler.
FGCU also held a narrow edge in blocking, 10-6, and had seven aces to Green Bay's six in the match.
The Eagles will now return to the Sunshine State and battle FIU (3-4) Thursday at 6 p.m. in Miami, Florida.
