Oliver Weng recorded a career-high nine saves, but FGCU was held scoreless for the first time in September and just the second time all season to fall to 4-3-1.
On the campaign, FGCU is led offensively by
Caio Oliveira and
Edson Murguia. The duo have combined for eight of the Eagles' 14 goals and each have a pair of assists.
Gardner-Webb enters at 7-1. The Runnin' Bulldogs – ranked No. 18 in the Sept. 14 United Soccer Coaches Poll – only have a blemish on the schedule against Furman. Last week, they earned 3-0 and 4-0 wins over Lipscomb and Winthrop. Robbie Lyons, Javan Ochieng and Jaylen Orr have found the net four times each, while Alan Horrocks has 18 saves, six clean sheets and just five goals allowed in 2025.
