FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast men's soccer earned a pair of ASUN weekly honors, the conference announced Monday.
Edson Murguia was named the Player of the Week and
Oliver Weng was tabbed the Goalkeeper of the Week.
Murguia scored a pair of goals in wins over Florida Memorial and Houston Christian, while Weng posted clean sheets, his first of the season, in each win. Murguia now has three goals and two assists on the campaign.
The nods mark the first of the season for both Weng and Murguia, and the duo joins
Caio Oliveira and Victor Weng to bring the Eagles' season total to four awards in as many weeks.
Next, FGCU travels to Miami to take on FIU at 7 p.m. Sept. 18.
