FORT MYERS, Fla. – FGCU men's soccer travels to Miami for a prime time showdown against Florida International University at 7 p.m. on Thursday night.
The Eagles are coming off a 2-0 win over Houston Christian, their second in a row.
Edson Murguia and
Caio Oliveira both found the back of the net in the first half, and
Oliver Weng tallied his first clean sheet against a Division 1 oppoent in 2025 to give FGCU the win over the Huskies.
Murguia and Weng were named the ASUN Player and Goalkeeper of the Week, respectively, following their performances. Oliveira and Murguia have combined for eight of the Eagles' 14 goals on the season.
FIU enters the match at 2-2-2, most recently earning a road win over Memphis. The Panthers have brought a balanced attack to the pitch, with seven different goal scorers in 2025, led by the trio of Pasquale Capriati, Johan Helan and Eduardo Mustre, who all have a pair of goals.
For the first time in program history, FGCU is offering fall
season tickets for its soccer programs, with packages starting at $60. Fans who purchase season tickets for either the men's or women's soccer teams will receive a season ticket combo for both programs.
