Zschuppe was named the ASUN's Player and Midfielder of the Year and Dwyer was named the Defender of the Year. Zschuppe has also been named to the Watch List for the Hermann Award. FGCU was the only program with three or more players on the ASUN's preseason list. However, FGCU was picked to finish second in the league, earning four first-place votes.
The Eagles captured their 11th ASUN regular-season title in 2024, finishing 9-1-1 in conference play. The top seed earned them a double bye and hosting rights for the semifinals. FGCU has won either the regular-season or tournament title in 13 of the past 16 seasons.
Head coach Jim Blankenship ranks as the sixth-winningest active coach in Division I women's soccer. He earned his 450th career win last season and holds a .727 career winning percentage. In 18 seasons at FGCU, he is 219-86-37, winning at least 10 matches in all but one season. Blankenship has led the Eagles to 11 ASUN regular-season titles and eight NCAA Tournament appearances, most recently in 2023.
