FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University's 2025 men's and women's cross country schedules have been announced by head coach
Argeo Cruz.
"We look forward to opening the season at UNF for a chance to preview the ASUN Conference course," Cruz said. "Next, we will travel to Huntsville and Louisville to compete against top regional programs. The regular season schedule fits our needs by providing the student-athletes with quality competition. It also works well with our training plan, preparing us for the conference and NCAA South Regional championships."
The Eagles will open the season Aug. 29 at the UNF Invitational in Jacksonville, offering an early opportunity to race against Atlantic Sun Conference opponents.
Two weeks later, FGCU will travel to Huntsville, Alabama, to compete in the Southern Showcase, hosted by Jacksonville State University, on Sept. 12.
The Green and Blue returns to the Sunshine State for the Ed Holloway Classic, set for Oct. 17 hosted by Florida Southern College.
The Eagles will then have two weeks to prepare for the Atlantic Sun Conference Cross Country Championships, which will also be held in Jacksonville. In last year's championship, returner
Alise Petrova posted a time of 17:42.9—cutting nearly 21 seconds off her personal best—and placed 21st out of 96 runners. She became FGCU's first-ever ASUN Freshman of the Year awardee.
The Eagles will wrap up their season at the NCAA South Regionals on Nov. 14, hosted by the University of North Alabama.
