Women’s tennis set to host South Florida

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Head coach Courtney Vernon will coach her team against her alma mater Friday as Florida Gulf Coast University hosts South Florida at 1:30 p.m.

Doubles and singles action will take place at the FGCU Tennis Complex. The Bulls (1-4) and Eagles (3-3) have battled 14 times, and USF leads the series 12-2. FGCU last victory against USF was a 4-2 win back on Feb. 12, 2023.

The Eagles are coming off a 4-0 defeat versus Florida Atlantic Friday while the Bulls delivered a 7-0 win against FAMU on Sunday.

Nora Svensson holds a 3-1 record in singles, and she's paired with Paloma Goldsmith to lead the Green and Blue with a 3-2 mark in doubles action.
