Florida Gulf Coast University softball fell at No. 8/No. 9 Florida State 10-2 in six innings and to College of Charleston 8-6 on Friday in Tallahassee, Fla.
The Eagles opened the day against the Cougars. Charleston was able to get on the board first with a run in the second before FGCU responded with three in the top half of the third inning.
Camryn Feast tripled home two in the inning while
Olivia Black scored on a wild pitch.
The Green and Blue added three more in the sixth with another two-run triple, this one by

Tiffany Meek, bringing the lead to 6-1 for FGCU.
Charleston fought back immediately, answering the three-run sixth from the Eagles with a five-run inning of their own to bring the score level.
The Cougars eventually walked it off in the seventh when their leadoff hitter powered a two-run homer over the wall for the 8-6 victory.
FGCU turned around immediately to face FSU, jumping out to an early lead.
Leslie Flaherty singled home
Emily Chiarella followed by another RBI single from
Maddox Thomas, to give the Green and Blue a 2-0 lead in the third inning.
This was all the offense FGCU would produce as the Seminoles scored 10 over the next four innings, buoyed by a six-run fourth inning to give them the run-rule victory.
The Eagles conclude the Dugout Club Classic on Saturday when they face Charleston at 10 a.m. and Mercer at 1:30 p.m.
