Keeshawn Kellman and
Jevin Muniz each scored 16 points for the Florida Gulf Coast University men's basketball team. However, the Lipscomb University Bisons pulled away in the second half to take an 82-68 win from the Eagles Saturday night in Allen Arena.

Despite the loss, Kellman crossed the 1,000-point mark for his collegiate career.

The Eagles started hot and pushed to a 24-18 lead with 9:34 remaining in the first half after a putback layup from
Dallion Johnson. The Bisons stormed back with a 9-2 run over the next three minutes to take a 27-26 advantage at 6:28 on the clock.

FGCU regained the lead and pushed it to 30-27 after a dunk by
Michael Duax, but Lipscomb made one more push and outscored the Eagles 15-5 down the stretch to take a 42-35 lead to the locker room.

Lipscomb controlled the second half and led by as much as 16 points with 8:58 left in the game, 65-49, before the Eagles cut the lead to 74-65 after a jumper from Kellman. The Bisons pushed ahead and settled on the 82-68 home win.

- With, back-to-back losses, the once first-place Eagles drop to 14-13 overall and into a tie for fifth place in the ASUN at 9-5.
- FGCU outscored Lipscomb in the paint, 38-36.
- Alongside his 16 points, Muniz pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.
- Muniz also moved closer to 1,000 career points at 966, needing 34 to reach the benchmark.
