Men's basketball heads to Austin Peay Thursday and Lipscomb Saturday

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University men's basketball hits the road to compete in two Atlantic Sun Conference games. The Eagles first head to Austin Peay State University on Thursday for an 8 p.m. start and Lipscomb University on Saturday for a 5 p.m. tip. FGCU has already clinched a spot in the 2025 ASUN Tournament.

The Eagles (14-11, 9-3 ASUN) are currently tied for first place alongside Jacksonville, Lipscomb and North Alabama.

The Governors are currently in fifth place with a 10-15 overall record and a 5-7 ledger in the conference. The Bisons are 17-8 with a 9-3 league record.

This will be the fifth time FGCU battles APSU, and the series is tied 2-2. The Eagles have won the last two matchups, delivering a 73-67 victory on Jan. 27, 2024, in Alico Arena.

Against Lipscomb, FGCU will face the Bisons for the 34th time, and Lipscomb leads the series 19-14. The Green and Blue fell 98-72 on Jan. 25, 2024, in Fort Myers. Keeshawn Kellman is currently at 992 career points and is expected to hit the 1000-point mark this Thursday. He is in first place in the league for field goal percentage with .613.

 Dallion Johnson continues to lead the Eagles in scoring with 15.2 points per game.
