FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Florida Gulf Coast University women's basketball team took the court at Alico Arena on Tuesday afternoon, falling 82-64 to the unbeaten Indiana Hoosiers.
RECORDS: Florida Gulf Coast 1-3, 0-0 ASUN | Indiana 6-0, 0-0 B1G
SCORE: Florida Gulf Coast 64 | Indiana 82
LOCATION: Alico Arena | Fort Myers, Fla.

First Quarter: FGCU opened with energy on both ends, matching Indiana's early pace and finding success in the paint.
Sinai Douglas connected from deep to spark the offense, while
Cerina Rolle and
Jalei Pillow added strong finishes inside. Both teams traded baskets throughout the frame, but a momentum-changing buzzer-beating driving layup from Douglas gave the Eagles a 16-13 lead to end the quarter.
Second Quarter: Indiana adjusted defensively and began to capitalize on FGCU miscues. Although the Eagles continued to attack inside, highlighted by baskets from Pillow,
Jordan Campbell, and Douglas, Indiana's perimeter shooting shifted the momentum. The Hoosiers knocked down three triples in the period and used a 13-5 run to take a 34-28 lead into halftime.
Third Quarter: Indiana extended its lead with an efficient offensive stretch, scoring consistently in transition and from beyond the arc. FGCU battled to stay within reach, getting baskets from Rolle and a three from
Anna Mortag, but Indiana's 28-point quarter created too much separation. The Eagles faced a 62-38 deficit heading into the fourth.
Fourth Quarter: FGCU delivered its strongest offensive quarter of the afternoon, posting 26 points behind an aggressive scoring push from Douglas, Mortag, and
Eve Alexander. The Eagles attacked the rim, earned trips to the free-throw line, and found a rhythm late. Despite the late surge, Indiana maintained control, securing the road win, defeating the Eagles 82-64.

Head Coach
Raina Harmon - "I thought we came out understanding the scouting report and really battling. We were ahead after the opening 10 minutes, which is good. For us, we're just looking to get better every game, and I thought we did that today. You look at the George Mason game and the way we completely collapsed in the second half. We had a similar stretch in the third quarter today, but we found a way to bounce back. I challenged them not to lose by more than 20, and I told them we needed to win the fourth quarter, and I thought we did exactly that. We've got to work on some things in the middle, but we're progressing, and I think we're getting better every day."

The Eagles travel west to Las Vegas, Nevada to compete in the Resorts World Classic. The Eagles are set to face Stanford on Nov. 28 at 8 p.m. ET, followed by a matchup with Troy on Nov. 29 at 10:30 p.m. ET.
