RECORDS: Florida Gulf Coast 1-2, 0-0 ASUN | George Mason 4-1, 0-0 A10
SCORE: Florida Gulf Coast 41 | George Mason 58
LOCATION: EagleBank Arena | Fairfax, Va.

First Quarter: FGCU opened the night with strong defensive energy, generating early stops and converting in transition. Sinai Douglas and Jalei Pillow provided attacking looks at the rim, while Karina Gordon knocked down a three to help the Eagles stay in step with the Patriots. A late GMU run, however, put FGCU behind 18-15 after one.
Second Quarter: The Eagles continued to battle on the boards, with Douglas, Eve Alexander, and Nay Staton contributing to second-chance efforts. Gordon stayed hot from long range, hitting a pair of threes to keep the offense moving. Still, turnovers proved costly, and the Patriots capitalized to take a 31-27 lead into halftime.
Third Quarter: FGCU clawed back within two after Douglas opened the half with a jumper and Cerina Rolle added a driving finish to tie it at 31. From there, George Mason shifted the momentum, using pressure defense and points off turnovers to build separation. Free throws and interior scoring pushed the Patriots ahead 42-32 heading into the fourth.
Fourth Quarter: Despite continued effort on the glass and steady defensive possessions, the Eagles couldn't generate enough offense down the stretch. GMU closed the game on a late run to secure the home victory. Pillow (9 points), Gordon (9 points), and Douglas (7 points, 6 rebounds) led FGCU, while the team outrebounded the Patriots 39-37, but was hindered by 26 turnovers.

FGCU returns home to Alico Arena on Tuesday, Nov. 25, to host Big Ten opponent Indiana University at 1 p.m.
