FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast softball head coach Lindsay Fico announced the program's 2026 schedule on Friday.
"We're excited to release our 2026 schedule," Fico said. "We put together a balanced mix of competition early in the season to help us prepare for conference play. Our team has been working hard this fall, and we're ready to compete, grow and represent FGCU the right way throughout the entire spring."
The Eagles' schedule features a full load of home and in-state competition, as FGCU only leaves the Sunshine State twice all season – both times in ASUN play. Home & home matchups with FAU and USF, a visit from the Big 12's Kansas, and trips to Florida and Florida State highlight the Eagles' slate.

The season opens with a trio of tournaments at home. Charlotte, Long Island, Ball State and Southern Illinois will make the trip south in the first weekend of the season for the FGCU Kickoff Classic from Feb. 5-8.
The Jayhawks head to Fort Myers for the first of FGCU's nine games against power conference opponents on Feb. 10 for a standalone midweek matchup. It will be FGCU's first ever game against Kansas.
The FGCU Eagle Invitational follows, with a pair of games against Hofstra and Louisiana Monroe on deck for Feb. 13-15.
FGCU rounds out its home tournament trio with the Gulf Coast Classic featuring Wisconsin, Louisville, UConn and Buffalo from Feb. 20-22. The Huskies mark the first 2025 NCAA Tournament opponent on FGCU's schedule, and the Badgers and Cardinals check off two more power conferences in the Big 10 and ACC.
The final weekend of February brings another ACC/Big 10 test, as FGCU leaves Fort Myers for the first time to travel to Tallahassee to take on Florida State for the fourth consecutive year in the Unconquered Invitational. Rutgers also awaits the Eagles in the tournament set for Feb. 27-28.
With March comes a trip to the east coast of Florida, as back-to-back dates with FIU and FAU await in Miami and Boca Raton on March 3 and 4. 2026 marks the third time in the last four seasons that the Eagles and Owls will play, but it's just the third time since 2018 that FGCU will face FIU.
A home series against Troy on March 7-8 is the first three game series for the Eagles in 2026. It will be the first time the Trojans and Eagles will play in Fort Myers. The first out-of-state trip coincides with the beginning of ASUN play, as the Eagles fly north to Charlotte for a series against Queens from March 14-15.
USF makes the trip to Fort Myers for a Wednesday midweek on March 18 in one of FGCU's longest-running nonconference matchups. The Bulls and Eagles have met in every full season since 2017.
ASUN play continues with a home series against Stetson on March 21-22 before a trip to Orlando to face UCF on March 25. The Wednesday game marks the third time in the last five years that FGCU has played in Orlando. March comes to an end with a home series against the defending ASUN Champion North Florida on the 28th-29th.
As April begins, so too does the longest road stretch of the season, as FGCU plays ASUN road series at Jacksonville on April 3-4 and West Georgia on April 11-12.
The lone 2025 Women's College World Series team on the schedule is featured on April 15 when FGCU makes the trip to Gainesville to play Florida.
The Eagles return to Fort Myers for the second series with Jacksonville on April 18-19 before finishing the in-season home-and-home in Tampa against USF for the regular season nonconference finale on April 22.
The second series against Queens will be FGCU's last at home on April 25-26, and a trip to Stetson brings the regular season to an end on May 1-2. The ASUN Championship will be held in Jacksonville at North Florida from May 5-9.
