FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University Director of Athletics 
Colin Hargis has announced a contract extension for FGCU women's soccer head coach 
Jim Blankenship.
Blankenship signed a five-year extension, which runs through the 2029 season. Blankenship, the founding head coach of FGCU Women's Soccer, has led the Eagles to 11 regular season Atlantic Sun Conference Championships, eight ASUN Tournament Championships, the 2025 Graphite Division Championship, and has been named ASUN Coach of the Year six times. Blankenship's Eagles have made eight NCAA Championship Tournament appearances throughout his tenure.
