FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University's men's golf team will travel to Vero Beach to compete in South Florida's Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational on Oct. 19-20.
The Florida Gulf Coast University men's golf team heads into this tournament riding high after a commanding win at the West Bay Collegiate Invitational. The Eagles, who captured their home event at 36-under-par, will look to carry that momentum into this week's competition. Leading the way are Sebastian Gamboa and Tom Scullion, who both finished tied for fourth at 11-under in Estero. Their consistency and ability to go low across multiple rounds make them key players to watch. Sacha Ruiz, fresh off a top-10 finish at 10-under, adds depth and reliability to the lineup, while Brett Moore and Nolan Harper continue to provide steady scoring to round out the lineup.
As the Eagles head to Vero Beach, they will take on a strong lineup, including Memphis, Kansas, Northwestern, Minnesota, Rutgers, South Florida, Liberty, Marquette, Florida Atlantic, Northern Illinois, Maryland, North Florida, UNCG, Indiana, and Penn State, setting up a highly competitive intercollegiate showdown at the Quail Valley.
After this, the Eagles will take flight to Lahaina, Hawaii, to compete in the Kaanapali Classic Collegiate from Oct. 28-30. The Kaanapali Classic Collegiate is the final tournament for the Eagles' fall schedule.
