Quartet named to WGCA All-American Scholar Team

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Four student-athletes were named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team as Anna Claire Bridge, Leonie Wulfers, Lousiane Gauthier, and Posie Farrelly earned the recognition.

In order to be selected to the All-American Scholar Team, a student-athlete must have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. In addition, they must be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the season. Finally, recipients must have played in at least half of the school's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the nomination period, which concludes with the team's conference championship.

Wulfers and Gauthier each competed in 26 rounds for FGCU, with each student-athlete recording an adjusted scoring average of 75.1. Farrelly also competed in 26 rounds with an adjusted scoring average of 75.9. Bridge competed in 25 rounds with an adjusted scoring average of 76.3. As a team, FGCU had a GPA in the Spring 2024 semester of 3.78, with the full team earning Atlantic Sun Conference Honor Roll recognition.

In all, 1,497 women's collegiate golfers from 412 programs across all levels of the NCAA and the NAIA were recognized by the WGCA.
