Florida Gulf Coast University men's tennis dropped a battle to the Eastern Kentucky University Colonels in Richmond, Ky. on Sunday, 4-3.
Pablo Paternostro and
Eric Oncins won their singles and doubles matches on the day.
Paternostro continued his usual speedy play finishing his doubles match first with partner
Harry Michalowski and was the first Eagle to win on a singles court.
Ninad Raut wore down his opponents. He secured the doubles point with
Hugo Magnusson to give the Eagles a 1-0 match lead.
Raut then defeated Stahlbrand of EKU in a marathon singles match that went 7-6 (4), 4-6, 7-5.
Up next for the Eagles is the season finale against Stetson on April 13.
