Bridge earns ASUN All-Academic Team honors

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Anna Claire Bridge earned ASUN All-Academic Team distinction, as announced by the league office Monday.

To be eligible for the award, an undergraduate student-athlete must have a cumulative 3.50 GPA, have participated in 50 percent of the tournaments during the season, completed four semesters of college coursework or 50 percent towards a degree and have one year of residence at their current institution.

Bridge holds a perfect 4.0 GPA in her health administration degree and emerged as one of only five golfers around the league to land this year's list.

Monday's all-academic honor marked the first of Bridge's career with the Green and Blue, the ninth Eagle overall to appear on the team and the first since the 2022 season.

"AC is our team leader, so I'm not at all surprised," head coach Shannon Sykora said.

On the links this season, Bridge recorded one top 10 and one top 25 performance. Her season-best performance came in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, with a seventh-place finish at the Golfweek/Any Given Tuesday Intercollegiate.

Bridge also finished 22nd at the Puerto Rico Classic, guiding FGCU to a convincing team title by seven strokes. At the ASUN Championship, she placed 28th overall.

Bridge averaged 76.1 over 25 rounds and nine events for the Eagles. The junior held a 348-320-24 overall record and carded four par or better rounds with a season-low 69.
