Softball slated for big weekend of games

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast University softball is set for six games in four days when they face No. 16 Florida State twice, Western Michigan, Purdue, and USF twice.

The Eagles face No. 16 Florida State on Friday and Sunday, Western Michigan on Friday and Purdue on Sunday with a doubleheader against USF on Monday.

FGCU is coming off a 6-0 win against Sacred Heart, extending their winning streaks when scoring at least six, stealing at least three bases, scoring first, and leading after four complete to 37, 21, 12, and 12, respectively.

Following these games, the Green and Blue will face UAB for a midweek before starting ASUN play.
