FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast University softball will face the Lipscomb University Bison on Friday and Saturday this weekend. Friday will be a doubleheader followed by a single game on Saturday.
FGCU is 5-1 in ASUN play and lead the conference in ERA, saves, innings pitched, opponent batting average, stolen base allowed percentage, and there have been the fewest attempted stolen bases against FGCU. Individually,
Allison Sparkman leads the conference in ERA, losses, and runs allowed,Â
Angelina Bonilla leads the conference in saves, while Sparkman, Bonilla, and
Ally Hulme all lead the conference in triples allowed.
The Bison have started conference play against two of the top four teams in the ASUN standings and will continue this trend against the Eagles.
Friday is hometown heroes night. Military, First Responders, Educators, and Healthcare Personnel can get in for free with valid ID. Saturday will feature an Easter egg collection race. Kids 12 & under can participate.
Following this weekend, FGCU begins a two weekend stretch on the road against two top ASUN opponents.
