FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast University fell to the University of Florida on Wednesday, 9-0.
Nikki Gibson made a spectacular play on the hot corner in the first inning on a hot liner which she snagged to keep the inning scoreless.
The Gators jumped on the scoreboard in the second to secure a 5-0 lead before adding two more in the fourth and fifth to secure the run rule victory.

Olivia Black extended batting streaks with hits in this game. Meek extends her on base streak to six games and Black extends her hit streak to five games.
Emily Chiarella and Gibson also recorded hits on the day.
Up next for the Eagles is a road trip to Jacksonville to face the Dolphins.
