FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast University softball won the first game of the doubleheader on Monday against the University of South Florida, 2-1, off a
Neely Peterson home run in the sixth inning.
"We were in that game because Angie pitched a gem," Peterson said. "That's my mindset as a catcher. I want to have my pitcher's back at the plate and behind the plate. I got it where I wanted it and I hit it over the fence."
