FORT MYERS, Fla. – Uju Ezeudu earned the Atlantic Sun Conference's Player of the Week honor, and Emani Jefferson collected the ASUN's Newcomer of the Week distinction Monday to highlight the league's weekly awards.

"Uju had a great week," head coach Karl Smesko said. "We ask a lot of her on both ends of the floor, and she is playing at an all-conference level. Emani had another good week. She is an outstanding player, and I think she is capable of even taking it up another level."

Ezeudu turned in her sixth double-double performance of the season Saturday to lead the Eagles past second-place Stetson at Alico Arena, producing a team-leading 20 points and corralled 10 boards en route to her first career ASUN Player of the Week distinction. Ezuedu has dropped 20 or more points in five games this season.

The Reynoldsburg, Ohio native paces the Eagles in rebounds, snagging 7.4 per game. She is second across the ASUN in total rebounds (201) and third in rebounds per game. Ezeudu was named preseason all-conference at the start of the season and has emerged as a threat from behind the arc, third on the squad in made threes this season with 36.

Monday's honor marked Jefferson's fifth ASUN Newcomer of the Week recognition. Jefferson scored 14 points in Saturday's win and dished out five assists.

Jefferson went a perfect 6-for-6 from the line and has produced double figures in 11 straight games with her quickstep attack, averaging a team-leading 16.5 points per game. The Miami native and semifinalist for the Becky Hammon Mid Major Player of the Year Award is third across the league in made free throws, sinking 87 on the year. Jefferson shoots 53.7 percent from the field and 82.9 percent from the charity stripe.

Jefferson and Ezeudu have been instrumental in the FGCU's 17-game win streak, its unblemished 14-0 mark in conference play and ASUN regular season champ status for the seventh consecutive season.
