FORT MYERS, Fla. - After a hard-fought contest at UNC Greensboro to start the season, Florida Gulf Coast University will wrap up its season-opening road trip with a stop in Fort Worth, Texas to take on TCU. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. EST, with livestreaming available via ESPN+.

The Eagles (0-1) fell into a 44-30 hole at halftime Monday night but battled back to tie the game at UNCG, 58-all. With the score knotted at 59-59, UNCG would go on an 11-0 run in the waning stages of the second half to put the game out of reach for FGCU.

Keeshawn Kellman and Dallion Johnson led FGCU Monday night with 15 points each. Kellman, who finished last season ranked second in the NCAA in field goal percentage, was 6-of-8 from the field including his first 3-pointer of his six-year collegiate career. Johnson made three triples en route to his 15 points.

Rahmir Barno tied a pair of career-highs with nine rebounds and six assists. In the 2023-24 opener, the then freshman Barno also had six assists at Indiana, which stood alone as his best mark until the UNCG contest.

TCU is picked to finish 10th in the historically tough Big 12 Conference. The Horned Frogs are coming off a 105-59 victory over Florida A&M Monday night as part of a three-game homestand to open the season. As a team, TCU drained 14 3-pointers in the contest and shot .547 from the field. Six different players finished in double-figures for TCU against the Rattlers. Before Monday's opener, TCU played No. 16 Arkansas in a charity exhibition and earned a 66-65 win thanks to a Brendan Wenzel 3-pointer with 5.9 seconds left.
