FORT MYERS, Fla. - After finishing non-conference play for the season on a three-game winning streak, Florida Gulf Coast University opens up the Atlantic Sun Conference men's basketball slate Thursday night at Alico Arena as the Eagles play host to Jacksonville University. Opening tip is set for 7 p.m. in a game that will be streamed worldwide on ESPN+.
The Eagles (6-9) earned a 72-68 over then-No. 7 Florida Atlantic University last Saturday in Alico to run their winning streak to three.
Zach Anderson had a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds, earning ASUN Player of the Week accolades in the process.
Dallion Johnson netted 18, including the game-winning 3-pointer with 1:10 remaining, to take ASUN Newcomer of the Week honors.
Following Thursday's game, the Eagles will play host to the University of North Florida Saturday night in Alico at 7 p.m.
