Eagles continue homestand with Lipscomb Thursday

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Coming off a big win in Atlantic Sun Conference play, Florida Gulf Coast University will continue a three-game homestand this Thursday at 7 p.m. as Lipscomb University visits Alico Arena for an ASUN men's basketball contest.

Thursday night is Coaches vs. Cancer Night and fans are encouraged to wear pink. This week nationally is Suits and Sneakers Week as coaches at all levels of the game are encouraged to wear their suits with sneakers in support of Coaches vs. Cancer and the American Cancer Society. FGCU head coach Pat Chambers will be participating in the event, with the team also holding signs in pregame of who they suit up for in the fight against cancer.

The Eagles (8-12, 2-3 ASUN) routed Stetson University 80-56 last Saturday night at Alico Arena. Zach Anderson recorded a career-high 23 points in the victory for the Eagles, with Franco Miller, Jr., adding 17.

Lipscomb (12-8, 3-2 ASUN) is coming off an 88-79 win over North Alabama last Saturday in Nashville, Tennessee. Four players scored in double-figures for the Bisons, led by Derrin Boyd's 19.

Following Thursday night's game, the Eagles will wrap up the homestand Saturday night at 7 p.m. against Austin Peay.
