Eagles welcome Stetson for Hall of Fame Weekend contest

FORT MYERS, Fla. - After a two-game Atlantic Sun Conference road trip, Florida Gulf Coast University's men's basketball team will be back in action Saturday evening at 7 p.m. in the confines of Alico Arena as the Eagles welcome Stetson University for a conference contest.

At halftime of the contest, FGCU will honor its latest class of Athletics Hall of Fame honorees. Mikel Alvarez, KC Correllus, Brian Crislip, Adrianne McNally, and Courtney (Platt) Pohlman will each be presented to the crowd Saturday night after Friday night's induction ceremony.

FGCU (7-12, 1-3 ASUN) is coming off consecutive 78-75 losses. Last Friday, the Eagles fell on a 3-pointer at the buzzer at Kennesaw State. Two days previous, a shot to tie in the final seconds didn't fall as the Eagles fell at Queens. Steson (11-8, 3-1 ASUN) is coming off a 77-70 loss Monday night to Chicago State University.

FGCU's Keeshawn Kellman currently ranks second in the country in field goal percentage, hitting on 69.3 percent of his shots. In FGCU's last contest, Kellman went 8-of-9 from the field for 20 points.
